Our twenty-first year of opening for charity in
support
of
We laid out a third-acre oblong plot into several
'rooms' with tall evergreen hedges many years ago from part of a larger
garden. Our garden is near the Bristol Channel and enjoys a
fairly mild
climate, although sometimes it is very windy.
The soil is a free draining loam with a neutral pH. which means we can
grow a wide range of plants.
Many years of garden and nursery visiting have provided plenty to fill
our borders, and we are also keen growers ourselves. Some of our
planting ideas have been
gleaned from our favourite authors and some are down to us. The
result is an eclectic
collection of plants coupled with an element of surprise.
We enjoy raising our own plants and these
include lots of tender perennials
and unusual climbers. Every year many plants are raised from
cuttings and seed to furnish the garden and pots, tubs and hanging
baskets. The surplus plants are sold on open days, and to by
appointment visitors.
If you would like to visit us please click on our opening times for
information. There is adequate street parking in Channel Road.
We are unable to offer refreshments but there are cafes,
restaurants and Public Houses
less than a mile from the garden on Clevedon's seafront.
