Apart from the necessary repairs
and replacement of timbers to various structures, we have removed
a large laurel hedge and have replaced it with trellis work panels and
new plantings on
either side in harmony with the existing garden.
Top left is the laurel hedge before
removal and on the right is the bare site before the trellis was put up
and
the area planted.
Clematis 'Rosemoor' in bloom and early planting in
front of the trellis.
On the other side of the trellis and blooming at 7 feet in November is
Salvia Confertiflora and
next to it the lovely orange flower of Isoplexis.
